Blobr raises €5 Million to help API providers understand how consumers convert and improve the developer experience

Blobr’s team is proud to announce a €5 Million seed round led by 10x Founders, with the continuing support from pre-seed investors New Wave and Seedcamp.
We wanted to take this opportunity to share Blobr’s vision and next steps with you.
API management solutions treat APIs as technical pipelines. Those are now a commodity.They seem not to address the real problem which is analysing the API user behaviour at every step to scale adoption and revenue. With Blobr, API providers build a developer portal to turn their APIs into a business. We are the first API developer portal that gives API providers a complete developer experience understanding, at every step of the journey.
Blobr is the only tool that takes a business-first approach to APIs.
Blobr evolves around three key concepts. Those are guiding our future product development choices.
Distribute APIs on the Provider’s terms Providers decide access conditions and monetization models so that API products are adapted to their audiences.
Offer users a memorable API experience Providers make it easy for users to try their API products, get versioning alerts and logs about their consumption.
Understand users behaviour and take action Providers act based on page views, conversion, consumption and logs. They proactively communicate with users to increase sales, retention and word-of-mouth.
To provide the best possible value, Blobr works on the user experience to make it as seamless as possible. That’s why Blobr has combined all elements (API management, API security, API testing, API analytics, API monitoring, API monetization) to serve better API products.
A seed funding to help Blobr achieve its vision
Blobr support more than 200 companies like Electricity Map, Dapp Radar, Carbonside or Bot Sentinel. This Seed fundraising will allow us to step up our product development and deliver more features, quicker.
We aim to support more types of APIs, provide an easier way to integrate with some APIs already in production, take personalisation to the next level and give providers everything they need to understand their users' behaviours at each step of the API journey, from acquisition to retention. We will be as well certified ISO27001 and SOC2 type 2.
Blobr is currently a team of 15 people based in Paris. Several positions are open to expand the Engineering team but also the Marketing, Sales and Product teams. This seed funding will allow the company to double its workforce in the coming months.
